Scotiagolf was originally comprised of the father and son team of Don Hippern and Mark Hippern, both certified Golf Teaching Professionals with the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation (CGTF) and the United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF). We finished our certification course in May 1998 and have been teaching the game of golf in Nova Scotia ever since. The golf season in Nova Scotia runs from about the middle of April until the end of October. Due to the seasonal nature of the game, we have both taken our knowledge and training to warmer climates during the winter.
Mark did some winter instruction in Savannah, Georgia before accepting a position as the Golf Pro at Club Med, Paradise Island, Bahamas in September 1999. The next two winters, he was the Onboard Golf Professional with Carnival Cruise Lines based in Cape Canaveral, Tampa, and Miami, Florida. He did video instruction on the cruise ship and playing lessons in such ports of call as Cozumel in Mexico, New Orleans and Key West in the southern States and Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas.  Now focusing more on business and personal commitments of his own, he still offers his time and expertise to Scotiagolf whenever it's required.
For the past several years, Don now spends the winter in Florida where he works on his game and does some instruction while keeping on top of the golf industry through the PGA merchandise show and contact with customers and suppliers across North America.
Although we started out as golf teaching professionals, we have expanded our services to include such things as building custom-fitted golf clubs, golf club regripping and repairs, golf event management, and the distribution of a variety of golf-related products.

Here is a sneak preview of our new White FBS 2.0 Driver. We also have matching 3-5 fairway woods and 2-3-4-5 Hybrids. Sure to be a crowd pleaser, call to arrange a free custom fitting and price quote. Don 452-4515 email
